Christianity & faith

Whether or not you have any previous experience of Christianity there is space for you at Gartcosh and Glenboig churches. You are welcome to come along to any service and participate as much as you feel comfortable. We will do our best to make you feel at home and are free to chat if you would like to ask more questions.

As Christian we seek to emulate the generosity and kindness of Jesus Christ who we read about in the New Testament of the Bible. We aim to do our best to look out for one another, anyone who is our ‘neighbour’ not just people who are our friends who are like us.

We do our best to follow the Golden Rule to treat others as we would like to be treated.

We speak to God through prayer, sharing our hopes, dreams, fears and lives.

Being a Christian is about trying, with a group of other people who are trying. It’s about wrestling with big ideas and issues and helping others often in small, unobtrusive ways. It is about being part of God’s creative project – to build community, to look out for the poor and vulnerable, to follow God and learn more and more how to live our lives to the best of our potential.
